I thought that was great, and the only thing that pissed me off about it was that Cirie didn't also have an idol/immunity. That would have been literally the best thing ever in the history of Survivor.

I just realized that HvHvH is the first 18 person/3-tribe season filmed post-Cambodia, so it'll be interesting to see if the "big movez" era survives past the 20 person/2-tribe format

We've had three seasons in a row (Kaoh Rong was filmed before Cambodia and thus the production decisions there weren't in place when Cambodia/MvGX/Game Changers were filmed) with twenty-person casts, an over-abundance of idols, an overabundance of non-idol twists, and just a bunch of bullshit that encourages the players playing like they're not competing against other humans. We're at 1 good season out of FIVE since we hit the 30s.

Like that's the source of my frustration here more than anything we have a finale where there are literally 2 characters - Sarah and Tai. And poor Tai can't do it as the only partly likable guy!

Why on earth did Brad, Aubry and Troyzan get UTR and INV edits so bad?

Pretty crazy given the past two seasons have been handled really well in that regard. I guess returning players went too hard in the paint for the editors.

I hope they never do the legacy advantage again. 3 idols is a lot and unfortunate, but it's been possible for a while. But the legacy twist needs to go.

I can honestly say this season probably markedly improves if Malcolm goes out naturally - he was really likable this time and wasn't the #randomchaos guy this time either.

Cambodia was a whole lot better. They made some compelling storylines - even if they did have to rely on a robot like Spencer and make him somewhat human to pull it off.

A lot fewer just "lol" boots too. And Jeremy is just so much better than Sarah oh my god.

The saddest thing for me is that the good alliance (Cirie/Aubry/Andrea/Michaela) completely self-destructed. Voting out Andrea was a horrible move to make that early in the game, and it led to Cirie losing a big shield which led to her blowing up hers/Michaela's game, and this all could've been avoided. Unfortunately, I think Cirie is most responsible for the fuck-ups that have plagued this season's endgame.

I actually think it's in Sarah's best interest to take out Troyzan/Tai? She beats Aubry at the end anyways and I can't see Brad/Troyzan/Tai not picking her off at F4 if she doesn't have immunity.

yeah while Cirie got the 0 vote vote out, she completely fucked her own game and it was obvious the moment she did it and it sucks because they were so much better than the other alliance.

Like, as if it wasn't obvious enough Sarah wins, they have to start painting Brad (who up until this episode was a perfectly nice guy) as an asshole so we don't feel as bad when she beats the dominant challenge whore in the finals.
