Given his proximity to heads of state and other political officials during WW2, I'd be hesitant to call it "no political experience."

His tenure as military governor of the US-occupied territory in Germany could also be applicable.

So if my friends are doctors does that mean I have medical experience?

The one thing I know is that he never voted in presidential elections before becoming president himself

In the sense that if you followed them around and were exposed to hefty amounts of their work, you would gather a semblance of an idea of what is going on and be able to pick out patterns.

Politics and medicine are not exactly comparable, however.

No.

Ulysses S. Grant (Civil War) and Zachary Taylor (Mexican American War) also had no political experience, but like Eisenhower they were both Generals during wars.

Hoover and Taft were novices in the sense that neither had ever run for election before they ran for president but Taft was Secretary of War under Roosevelt and Hoover was Secretary of Commerce under Harding and Coolidge.
