I'm more excited for this than the Star Trek show. It will likely feature a lower possibility of a MAYWEATHER cameo.

I can't get behind that sentiment, scarlet. I think even a ~1.3% chance of a MAYWEATHER cameo in Star Trek: Discovery is a heavy risk well worth the prize.

It's still a good show, but i was not all that impressed with the netflix part.

They tried a different formula and it didn't pan out as well as they hoped, but I imagine a return to form will result in a return to quality.

Seasons 1-3 will be funny until the end of time. SO GOOD

Season 4 has gotten the Godfather 3 treatment. A solid 7/10 but it just cant compare to the original series/film so it gets hated on.

Times have changed, actors have aged, it was impossible to recreate the magic

The #1 problem with S4 is that it separated the actors for most of the show. The jumping around thing wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. Not having the actors together meant losing all the chemistry they had, which is a huge part of what made the previous seasons great.

this is roughly how I feel. I actually didn't dislike the netflix season or the changed format, though I was pretty unsatisfied with the ending and the fact that there was very little plot momentum.

I have it on my queue on Netflix but never pulled on the trigger on it


It always came off as one of those shows that was really really good at the time, but then many have since imitated or even perfected what it brought and it just isn't that hot anymore

like FFVII or something

I still think if they edited Season 4 into the traditional styled episodes like they were saying they would for a while that it would be a very worthy successor to the original 3 seasons. The rhythm is all wonky the way they did season 4.

obviously didnt live up to the first 3 seasons but calling it outright bad is just being spiteful

I completely agree with Brohan. Compared to the vast majority of television, S4 is much, much better.

S4 got pretty good a few episodes in, as more and more connections were made to the earlier episodes. That said, I hope they go for the more traditional format of the first three seasons.

I do think however that arrested development hasn't aged that well, but I might have watched it one too many times.

S4 is fine. There's not a whole lot of chemistry due to how it was shot obviously but I enjoyed it.

(I had low expectations even if it's my favorite show)

S4 was clever but the episodes are too long, and it was a shame they couldn't get everyone together. I felt like it started off strong and has some great jokes, but yeah, just echoing Cokes... the format didn't work.

S1-3 I rewatch constantly, they are just so good

if they can actually film S5 with all of the cast being available it will be great

trying to do another season like 4 will just make me sad. It's the entire cast interacting that makes the show so good

I've heard that about half of the season will be 'prequel' with different actors playing the younger versions of the Bluths to work around scheduling issues.

Part of the reason everyone was split up in S4 was because the actors became so popular there was no real way to schedule them all together at once. I doubt that will change.
