he ending of CS... Think of what you felt at the end of FC, and ramp it up a few notches. That's what the ending of CS felt to me. I played CS and CS2 back to back. 145 hours between the two games.

It's turn-based combat, but it's also on a grid system. You can see the turns coming up on the left side of the screen, and there are also battle bonuses that are random that each side can get. Extra boost in strength, 100% crit, HP healing, etc.

The first one, definitely. The titles are pretty clear in the Sky arc for which order to go in. First Chapter, Second Chapter, then The 3rd. Which 3rd isn't really part of the arc, but it takes place half a year after it ends and ties a lot of lore together.

Also, I'm finding it refreshing that they're handling romance in a video game so matter-of-factly. Usually, they'll beat around the bush for 98% of the game, then announce their feelings, and not much else. Granted, they kind of did that with FC, but I look at that as more like people coming to terms with and understanding their feelings for each other, more than any sort of "will they won't they" dynamic. Plus, FC is basically only half a video game. >_>

I'm glad that they decided not to put the cookies back in the cookie jar in SC. They could have so easily gone to the old anime trope of being embarrassed and recanting their previous confessions.

Kloe and Olivier are my casters, as they're better suited for it. Joshua is my "better than Schera at everything" character, but I primarily use him for AT delay and physical attacks.

idk Alucard, Joshua's arts stat is high as well. And his speed is crazy. And his wonderful S-Craft. I threw the CP gear on him in SC and he was a monster.

The day I finally broke myself%u200Bfrom being a completionist and decided "fuck it, I play games to have fun, not meticulously plan out a schedule" was the day I started enjoying a lot more games. 99% of the time missables are just useless trinkets or a few extra lines of dialogue that can be easily googled that don't really matter much in the grand scheme of things.

have you got to schera's moon door yet? it's definitely my favorite.

i talked to everyone during shcera's door multiple times even in that short time frame they managed to give all the citizens in grancel a backstory (like the orbment vendor guys just starting out their business, the couple next door was just getting married and impulse buy a home on the capital, hell even the general's daughter anticipating for new baby that you see in theFC and SC, the fishermen's guild, etc and i could go on forever) these are fucking excellent details they put in, and so far only this series put so much attention to detail to NPCs.

to some extend, tita's moon door does too describing what life is like after the liberl ark panic on liberl.

it turns out not just fancy graphics or animation or fancy NPC scripting with elaborate NPC schedule that can make a world feels alive. it is just a simple matter of giving everyone a little personality, a story of them living everyday's life just like ours that the players have no agency to, just able to watch and observe how their mini-arcs develop and their life unfold. schera's door reminds me why i ADORE this series so much.

Well, chapter 8 just finished happening. I swear, Falcom loves using dramatic crescendos and expert timing as plot movement. The end of chapter 8 was some of the most frustrating shit I've had in a game recently, as far as story elements are concerned.

Yeah, I don't blame you. I KIND OF regret diving right into 3rd. Starting to feel the burn out after putting 81 hours into SC, though I still enjoy it. Will need to take a break between 3rd and CS definitely.

Yeah. I had to take a break in between playing FC and SC when I initially beat FC last year. Only just got around to playing SC right now. What prompted me to do it was the release of The 3rd, which I probably won't play for a while now. >_>

3rd is a lot shorter than the others but yeah the burn out is very real. I remember finishing up FC, started SC, got halfway through and took a month break, finished it up then hit up CS only to get halfway through and take a break. I think CS2 and 3rd are the only ones I finished in a timely manner.

They are more practical than evil. Like they will do anything with to complete their goals, and honestly we dont much know of their goals aside from it involving aureole. Maybe they want to revive great old zemuria civilization.

there is actually a scene with ouroboros leader that say weissman went too far but they let him because ouroboros value individual freedom or something

I think they dont condone mindless slaughter, but still not above creating civil war that could have many death toll too i dunno. They are fascinating organization, to be sure, and the grandmaster dont really care about what the enforcer do as,long they get their shit done

Nobody even knows who the Grandmaster is, outside of Ouroboros people. Hell, I don't think even the enforcers know who all the Anguis are. We've been introduced to 2 of them so far in the west, and there are apparently 5 of them (one is rumoured, 4 are fact)

Mm I don't know, really. He's in one of the Crossbell games, no clue of his role in it. In SC he tells them about only being there as he could directly report the happenings to the Grandmaster.

Campanella outright says in SC that he was sent to Liberl as an observer for the guildmaster. He doesn't word it in a way that makes you think he's speaking through an intermediary. Plus, he is enforcer 0 - the Fool. That in itself tells you he's special, even among the enforcers. Even Weissmann treats him with a bit of deference.

It would definitely help explain how Ourboros has this intimate knowledge of Zemurian technology. There's also other shit we don't really know about yet. There's a coven of witches that have yet to be fully explored in any of the games, and we haven't been to the Calvard Republic or the smaller principality states like Leman or Alteria.
