He reads the board and in fact puts on these Contests more as a favor to Board 8 than as something his bosses want him to do (they don't generate much, if any, money for the company).
It was a strange concept for a Contest and matches were in general not as competitive as I would have hoped, but there's no reason to call it an abomination. That's just being rude. I've talked with SB but I'm not his co-worker so I don't have his schedule on hand to tell you when the next Contest will arrive.
