Full Throttle 05/22/17 7:44:29 PM #1:	Do you think her skirt is offensive for high school? Yes No View Results 18 y/o Summer, a Senior at Hickory Ridge High School North Carolina said she was almost ARRESTED by her principal AND Banned from Graduation because she wore this skirt which exposed her SHOULDERS!! She wore a green skirt to school last week which apparently revealed the tips of her shoulders as well as her collarbones which offended the principal who subsequently banned her from graduation for "disobeying" the dress code and threatend to arrest her when she wouldn't change! The Honour Sstudent said they demanded she change even after she covered up with a friend's jacket but it further escalated that eventually had her suspended Summer has a 4.4 GPA and a full scholarship to attend a major university said she was eating lunch when the principal came up to her and asked if she brought a jacket..Summer said "I think my shirt is fine" But the principal said her shirt left her lower back exposed and wasn't obeying the dress code but she defended it and eventually borrowed a friend's jacket to zip it up to remedy it. But then he asked her to change out of the shirt and into another outfit and go to the control room..But Summer wouldn't comply unless they called her mother due to previous issues with her and the principal. Her mother couldn't be contacted and the principal dismissed her in front of all of her friends. The school officer had to be involved to take her out as well as he had his GUN in his hand!! The principal said to her "I'm gonna give you an ultimatum. We have tried to call your mother. You either come with me to the control room to change your short or we will arrest you" She stayed in her seat and tried to call her mom herself at which point the school officer was going to ARREST her but her mom had called back before it happened. She eventually got a 10 day suspension and is barred from attending any senior activities, including graduation. Summer said "It's just sad because i worked so fard for 4 years to walk across the stage. We have drug dealers across that stage, we have sex offenders walking across that stage and then the 4.4 student who showed her shoulders can't" The school said it was INSUBORDINATION, not the dress code violation that got her canned as the school may even EXPEL her at this point.. 45 students were sent to the principal's office for wearing leggings as pants and shirts they thought were too short Do you think her skirt is inappropriate? let's see what people think.
