They haven't even come close to making something as amazing as Armageddon. It's too bad, they could easily make a new version on a better graphics engine. I was in a worms Tourney once, it was pretty great.

GUNBOUND! God I loved that game! I used to make people rage quit constantly.

I've always had a knack for knowing just how much power a shot needed. As long as I could keep the same angle, I could hit anybody anywhere on the map on my first try. Everyone always thought I was hacking, but really I just understood through practice how much each level of wind would affect the shot and was good at gauging distances.

The games peaked with Armageddon/World Party and then instead of Team17 taking everything those two did right mechanically and content wise and just adding more stuff, they keep releasing titles with less stuff, worse physics and random gimmicks nobody is really asking for.

I kinda feel like all they need to do is copy and paste Armageddon, add more weapons without removing any, more customization options for your teams and games, Wormpot mode for multiplayer and boom best Worms game. That was practically what they were doing pre-Worms 3D so I don't know what changed.

To this day whenever me and friends feel like getting a couple games of Worms in, we always end up back on Armageddon. Even when a new title is out we'll play for a grand total of maybe 3-4 hours before just reverting back. It's not even that the newer games are bad they're just all lacking in comparison.

If they could merge the content between Armageddon and World Party, release it as a new title and then just make expansions for it over time I'd be a happy camper.
