It seems like pop music today is veeeeeery slow, like the tempo is really slow. Back in the day you'd always have high energy 4/4 dance beats, and now it seems like everything is slowed down. It gets boring.

I don't like trends where it all feels so manufactured, polished and artificial. Like the first song especially feels like it was written by 20 people to be as popular as possible, not because anyone had a song they wanted to actually make. I know Michael Jackson didn't write all his own songs but he did it fairly frequently.

though I do like that Ed Sheeran song, so im probably just a cranky old guy looking to complain about music these days.
