When you mention outrage culture, you mean garbage like Hugh Mungus or whatever other stupid reasons people come up with to be angry at whatever. This isn't outrage culture. This is a woman shopping who had to hear some ignorant woman spout racist remarks at her. Why should this be considered normal? I have every right to be outraged at this. Actually, we have a duty to be outraged at this. Pretending this is ok is just being part of the problem. This is disgusting, and having people in my life whom I love who are black, if they were ever to be under this kind of racist attacks, I would be very angry. You do not understand what it's like to grow up in a country believing people don't want you there, you have no idea what it is to feel like you are less than others just because of the color of your skin. Sure, more stable individuals can see how ridiculous that is and cast it aside, but some people, especially young children, suffer greatly because of the ignorance of others, and go through life carrying self-esteem problems because of this kind of crap.

its an odd stance he's taking...he says she's dumb, but then says this is just something that happens so we shouldn't discuss it and i guess just be ok with this being normal...but SHAUN KING is the real person we should be discussing....Apparently calling out people like this and standing against it just means we're part of OUTRAGE CULTURE and we should just sit back with our mouth shut and let it happen.....BUT LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT SHAUN KING...

Simple, not following a heard mentality means people will lie about your intentions - or assume that because you haven't openly asked for the public execution of said women, then you must be for her.

Well, for me this isn't about everyone just saying how bad and vile they are, that's just a circlejerk, but it IS a natural reaction which you can't really stop, and it shouldn't be stopped. Peoples natural reactions to these things are important, imo. I think this sort of stuff matters because it's very real and in our faces,making it very hard to deny, and I believe it is vital that we are aware of its existence and that it becomes a debate topic, but also something that we try to change.

Again, you're being dishonest (I'll assume it's intentional, though it could be born of ignorance).

One person talking about something does not negate or invalidate the rest of the topic, the only people that think it does is those looking for something to be outraged over.

You can both have an opinion on something else that people apparently defend rather vigorously and label the women as a a racist - the regressive way is to assume that there is no middle ground - so I'm not exactly shocked that this is the direction people like you are trying to go with.

I don't have to imagine it, it's happened to me before in both supermarkets and airports, once because some fool assumed I was carrying a bomb because of the way a looked and another by someone ranting against Halal food despite the fact I haven't been a Muslim (was shopping with one) for years.

There are bigoted people everywhere, I guarantee this happens 1,000 times more than people are seeing with viral videos, and as I said in the other topic it is good that these people are now shamed somewhat publicly, but again, I'm not playing into either the regressive left or the far-right with either of their agenda with said issue.

Again, you can be critical of the source (one of them) and the women - they're not mutually exclusive.
Just because someone doesn't like said source, it doesn't mean they're for the obviously wrong, obviously racist women, I have no idea how people can possibly be this slow when it comes to this.

Think about the little guy at high school who got bullied 24/7 by the jocks. Maybe he was a nice guy, but no one would be want to be associated with him due to that, unless it were people going through the same. If cheeto makes it ok or at least commonplace to go full MAGA vs certain ethnic group, no one outside that group will want to take those people seriously in terms of say, employment, romantically or socially.

Maybe I'm naive but I don't think it has become "ok" to bully anyone. In most of these videos you don't see a lot of people cheering on the racist. Normal people are genuinely shocked and disturbed by this kind of behavior.
