*The USA change so dramatically that it no longer counts as the old country?
What does this even mean?

*The year change from A.D./C.E. to a new year 1 with its own definitive title?
Nope

*The birth of a new religion or the death of a currently existing one?
Depends if you count cults as religions. Mini-religions pop up all the time.

*Underwater colonies? Planetary colonies? Space colonies?
Probably not major ones, but I think the foundations for it will be started.

*Peace between Palestine and Israel? (It doesn't count if said peace is achieved by the complete eradication of the other)
Nope

*Plastic-free oceans?
Nope

*Significant advances in medicine and health care that renders Star Trek's ideas obsolete?
Don't know enough about Star Trek

*The next season of that ThunderCats reboot that got cancelled just as it was getting good?
Probably, when nostalgia peaks

No

*The birth of a new religion or the death of a currently existing one?
Major religions, no. Minor ones die all the time.

*Underwater colonies? Planetary colonies? Space colonies?
If you mean for common people then no, but ones that house scientists longterm then probably planetary and space.

*Peace between Palestine and Israel? (It doesn't count if said peace is achieved by the complete eradication of the other)
Nope

*Plastic-free oceans?
Even if humans stopped dumping plastic in the ocean right this second and started cleaning it it would still be a no.

*Significant advances in medicine and health care that renders Star Trek's ideas obsolete?
lol no

*The next season of that ThunderCats reboot that got cancelled just as it was getting good?
On Netflix eventually.

What counts as a religion?

Isn't that the million dollar question.

My interpretation is that it is a nebulous organization of people that have agreed, whether dictated by a leader, a council, or amongst themselves, to a certain type of dogma, and a certain way of living, for a specific reason or goal. Usually holistic, for the edification and/or discipline of one's self, though sometimes it's because of fear.

Belief in a higher power is usually expected but not always required.

It also doesn't matter how the religion starts. Even if it's on a dare. Like Scientology. Eugh.

Think about how many iterations of China there's been.

Now imagine something happening that makes USA fall apart into multiple countries or having its government overthrown, or having the states dramatically altered in some form. Like the states all become purely self-governing, or lose most of their self-government entirely.

*The USA change so dramatically that it no longer counts as the old country?

The usa along with most areas that aren't europe or asia are known as the new world, so umm...?

*The year change from A.D./C.E. to a new year 1 with its own definitive title?

It's been 2017 years, probably not.

*The birth of a new religion or the death of a currently existing one?

Already seen it. Pastafarianism.

(And if you go to the last generation, they had Scientology).

*Underwater colonies? Planetary colonies? Space colonies?

Space colonies exist--it's called the International Space Station. We can build underwater already; not sure what would qualify as a "colony", though--presumably something that's not connected to above ground buildings; dunno if that exists. Planetary colonies--yeah, the current NASA projection is about 2030. President Trump has made some claims that he wants it to happen during his presidency, which would push the schedule forward.

*Peace between Palestine and Israel? (It doesn't count if said peace is achieved by the complete eradication of the other)

Answer hazy, ask again later. You know, from all I've heard 30 years ago we were pretty close to peace. Then some hardline Israelis assassinated the moderate president.

*Plastic-free oceans?

Plastic-free? As in no plastic at all? lol nope.

I think we'll significantly reduce plastic, sure.

*Significant advances in medicine and health care that renders Star Trek's ideas obsolete?

I don't remember star trek health care very well. Guessing no, though.

*The next season of that ThunderCats reboot that got cancelled just as it was getting good?

Maybe, as a direct-to-netflix or direct-to-hulu kind of thing. I mean, they made a new season of Arrested Development.
