All of the best gear in the game (and there is a ton) will be available in g-rank, along with the hardest monsters, probably some exclusive to g rank. MHXX sold like shit in Japan (But that's because X is just flat out a lazy, rushed game, and while MHXX fixes this to an extent there's still quite the amount of issues with the game.) and they can't afford to be lazy if they want to see MH succeed. Don't get me wrong, I want to see this game succeed, because I'd like more MH titles in the future. But just going off what we know about MH3U on Wii U, their history with porting games to consoles from handheld isn't stellar. There are too many monsters cluttering 4U's and Gen's roster that should be left behind. No one likes hunting Gravios or Basarios, no one likes hearing Khezu scream 3-5 times in a row. The G rank games are the same games, with another tier of quests. They add in a few extra assets. But it's the same game. Same villages, same characters, same stories. It's like the original game with a bunch of added DLC onto it or something. It's amazing how Switch still hasn't gotten a big original game.
