No. the difference is I don't feel sympathy for a man who was advocating genocide. Meanwhile many people who cried about that are defending this, and saying things like "the reporter deserved Libby hippy!"

Violence is never ok, but context is key. If someone stood up right now and said they support radical terrorists and got punched for it would you sympathize with that? Of course not. But asking a very normal question to a man running for public office doesn't warrant that kind of response. I know it's hard for you guys to understand context because "liberals! Muh team! Us vs them!" But I hope you can open your mind for just a moment to try and understand the difference.

You say this as if I think this guy getting bodyslammed is okay.

None of these incidents have been okay. The difference is that most people weren't simply "not sympathizing" with the nazi punching but actively encouraging it. (and that's not saying YOU did, but I'm just going off shit I saw all over the internet)

And I find that frightening with how loose people seem to be with declaring people as being nazi's. It's the same reason I wouldn't be okay with people punching muslims in the face just because "they support radical terrorists" because of how easily people just say any muslim is a terrorist or supports them.

Richard Spencer literally believes in the supremacy of the white race, the "peaceful ethnic cleansing" of non-whites, and quotes from Nazi propaganda. During a Trump rally for white nationalists, he gave a Nazi salute. He has refused to denounce Hitler and is outspoken against Jews. I'm not sure how much clearer it can get that the dude's a nazi.

And I didn't say YOU said this reporter getting hit was ok either but many have. Many encouraged it too. But again there is a huge difference in context here. Not feeling bad that a man who was talking about killing all the members of a particular race is not the same as not feeling bad that a reporter who did nothing wrong got attacked because he had the "audacity" to challenge a public official.

I just disagree that "they encouraged Spencer being hit therefor they are hypocrites!"....you're trying very hard to flip the script so you can make the left look bad but the ones who look bad are the ones who defended Spencer and either encouraged this or are using it to win political points for their team. (Again not saying you specifically but others are).
