With a lot of reboots like that, you worry that they'll completely miss the mark on what made the original what it was changing things in order to update it to a modern time. I really liked how they updated the story and characters to actually be somewhat engaging and likable, yet still be fully aware of the corniness of their source material and stay true to it. My understanding is that's why a lot people didn't like the new Alien movie too. Most people I ask about why they didn't like Alien Covenant say it's because it was too much of a sci-fi movie and not a horror. Which makes sense if you were expecting a straight up horror, but after Prometheus I wasn't. I thought it was pretty good and I find the lore interesting. I've been wanting a movie like Prometheus and Covenant since I saw the first Alien movie when I was 14. The backstory stuff is super cool in my opinion. I'm getting off topic sorry. This shows the depth of Jason's team's skills in being able to form the Megazord in the heat of battle after only eleven days of training and arguably less than an hour piloting the Zords. The Megazord's form being similar to that of Goldar's is due to the Zords being programmed to model their appearance off of the most powerful creatures on whatever planet they inhabit. I want to see more actual Power Rangers morphed fighting, more zord fighting, and of course, Lord Zedd. How can Hollywood possibly mess up Lord Zedd? He's cool as hell. It would be so awesome. It's easy to see how they imply the zords melting together in the configuration of a megazord and still have all these moveable parts because the scene made it so ambiguous. The power of friendship theme sort of adds to the nature of that coincidence and prophecy or destiny.
