If you are married do both you and your spouse get $300? Not that I'd say no to just the $300, but it wouldn't be all that life changing. If we are both getting $300 though, that would be pretty nice.

Not much at all. I'm not a big spender, so a lot of my earnings are going into the bank as it is. This money would as well.

Either way, that would be great, I currently make do with NZ$265, so NZ$300 would be nice, while $424 would make it far easier to find a new place (spent over 7 years in my old 2 bedroom place, it was only $190 then increased to $200 later, but looking for places now, $200 won't even cover a single room in a shared apartment, I need about $300 - $350 for a place now).

That's essentially basic income. I'd be pretty happy to have the safety net in case something goes horribly wrong, and it will be cool during retirement.

Right now though, it would essentially be a rounding error in my budget, so it wouldn't change much.

This is way more than I get now so it would be a big change, especially if it's under the table.
