Like when I was younger, it was my main goal. I have several other goals that I want to do in life; But my main was to be a wrestler. You?

I did. Even went as far as going to a training camp (was trained under George South for a few months)... Ended up having to quit after I botched a back body drop and completely messed up my back.

I actually wanted to start a wrestling promotion, to the point where my brother and I actually contacted some wrestlers to see if they would be interested, brainstorming location, calculating expenses.

Sorry to hear that. It really sucks when people say "it''s fake", they don't respect the amount of training and coordination that goes into a match looking smooth.

I wrestled my freshman year of high school. I was awful. Terrible stamina. And the figure four did nothing!

I did that, about 8 years ago, when I lived in New York... It's a lot cheaper in other states...

Yes, we realized that New York wouldn't be the best place. I believe we were thinking about Connecticut.

I'd love to, but I got fat and between cost and location, it's damn near impossible to find a good training facility.

That's really unfortunate, that's my only thing... I'm kinda afraid of paying all that money, putting in all that time and just when I start gaining some popularity and bookings and making a legit run at it. I get paralyzed or hurt so bad that I can't walk. I mean, it's no different than any other physical job, just that the promoter's won't be able to cover you.

BEST ONE, I've found is WWA4 in Atlanta. Just a thousand bucks, and I think 210 in monthly rent for a stay at their wrestler hotel, he will teach you the basics and the proper training and diet of a proper wrestler.

According to rumors, lots of bad attitudes already in the business. So one more wouldn't hurt, LOL.

When I was 10 sure. It looked fun but when you have a dad who knows in the in and out of wrestling shows the desire slowly started to diminish. That and I'm lazy to get into good shape.

That's only with WWE, and you have about a likelihood of making it there about 21%

Yeah. My brother and I made a dummy out of rolled up carpet and duct tape and suplexed it all over the yard. It was only about 80-90 pounds, but dead weight. Ultimately we were both too thin due to lack of food growing up. Sucks because there was a decent indie fed in my town and we were really good at technical wrestling and submissions. In hindsight though I don't really regret not getting into it seriously.

I remember this one time my brother and I had a first blood match in the living room when our mom was out. About halfway through the match my brother goes kayfabe comatose. This was right after he fell off the coffee table and I hit him with those one of jump ropes with the plastic tubes over them. He laid there for about 30 minutes without moving once. I thought he was seriously injured but it turned out he was just working the crowd. We were about 8 and 9 at the time. Good times.

After getting involved with people in the indie scene (SPW and Hoodslam), the desire re-sparked. But I'm too old and out-of-shape to get into the business. I could probably cut a helluva promo, though.

My buddy still half-jokingly wants to go to wrestling school, so if he does, I'm sure I'll give it a go and we can wash out together. I'm sure I have a couple bumps in me.

I got out of shape by college but luckily found a job doing sports commentary so I was never really too far away from sports in general.

Gonna stick with 2K for my WWE dreams now lol

At one point, especially when you see the glamorous shows. Then I got to meet the indy wrestlers trying to claw their way up. There's nothing new with hard work, but what they go through, both mentally, physically and financially with no guarantee of success is pretty heartbreaking.

In the past yes. Once you dive deeper into the business like what they gotta do to prove themselves and survive in the wrestling business then it became a turn off. Plus with WCW dead means you have to be damn good to get WWE's attention to make some money to live a decent life. A lot of local wrestlers ive talked to slept in their cars, ate at taco bell, and drove for miles and miles just to get a booking. Half the time they didn't get paid and if they did it was enough for a hotel room, food, and gas for a night.
