im assuming this was an apa or tap event? start working on your money match game, a lot of tournament and league players cant play for the cash and having a baseline handicap in league play will earn you a strong amount of weight in a gambling scenario

Apa event. My team thinks i should play a lot of 2/3 minis.

We have a 2nd place match today. Winner takes $1000. Team we lost to went to vegas 3 years in a row.


They put up a 6 first. We put up me a 3. 5-2 race. I had 3 games I coulda took but ended up losing 5-0 for a 3-0 sweep.

Then we put up a 4. They put up a 4. 3-3 race. Their 4 started out 2-0 and our 4 won 3 in a row to win that match 2-1.

4-2.

They put up a 3. We put up a 5. 4-2 race. Our 5 wins first 2. Their 3 wins next 2. 2-0 them.

6-2. (And our 5 not sweeping here basically nailed the coffin)

We put up a 5. They put up a 6. 5-4 race. 6 breaks and runs 3 racks off the bat. Our 5 wins 1. Their 6 wins the next 2. 2-0

8-2

Last match doesn't matter. Game over.

If our 5 swept their 3. It woulda been 5-4 us. Then when they 2-0ed our 5. It woulda been 6-5 them. Then the last match they had to play a 3 versus our 6. And all we needed was to win 2-1 at least. And they were hiding that 3 for a reason.

just keep playing. my game improved a lot when i started gambling for small amounts. never played league but it is essentially the same handicap system used in most tournaments. try different games too. 9 ball will help you process how to run out while getting shape better and one pocket greatly helps with shape and generally manuevering the cue ball

Our shittiest player who we had to bring cuz of stupid shit lost first match as a 5 to a 3 3-0. Our 4 beat their 4 for a 2-1 win. I beat their 3 2-1 for a 2-1. Our 6 lost to a 7 5-4 for 2-1 them.

Making it 7-5 them going into the final match our best shooter who is a 5 vs their 4. Needs 4 racks before the other guy gets 2 for us to win the match. Wins first rack. Makes 8 out of turn next rack to lose 1. Theb scratches on a fucking pathetically easy 8 tap duck to give the other guy 2 racks won and lose it.

Never would have ever thought we could lose going into that last game.
