my game broke and now nothing in it makes noise

if i use the quen sign, though, that makes noise like it should, but other than that it's acting like i muted my tv

I also started playing it again. The ability that lets you deflect arrows back to the attacker with your sword and kill them is pretty much my favorite thing, given how absurd it is

Shame. I wasn't into the first two games at all. I thought they were ultra boring. Got the third one as a gift. Decided to give it a shot and really started enjoying it once I got to the bloody Baron storyline. The Crones are easily the coolest characters (in any game I've ever played) and I'd say at least play up to that point before giving up. If you don't like that part of the story then it's definitely not for you. It's not terribly far into the game.

Currently playing the dlc which is also enjoyable.

And you didn't find that storyline fun/interesting? Not sure why you're still interested in playing. The middle part of the game in skellige is kind of dull, and it doesn't really pick back up until after the isle of mists. Everything after that is great again.

The problem isn't RPGs, the problem is helly.

If 99 people in a room absolutely love something, but there's one person in the room who hates it, that one person will be helly.

Conversely, if 99 people agree that something is liquid hot garbage, helly will probably post to mention how much he enjoyed it.

Just accept that he comes from a parallel mirror universe and most of his posts make way more sense.

the thing is though, is you can't say i don't give games chances. this is the...7th? time i'm trying to force myself to like the witcher 3. and my criticisms for a game are also valid. i think only one was wrong, and that was during the whole chrono trigger topic saga, and the reason for that is because time travel is stupid.

I want to like Payday 2 but it's super repetitive and takes way too long to like...level up or whatever. Also the RNG can be some bullshit.

The worst thing though is how often it spams with the 'special events'. Like every time I'm on my computer there's some stupid ass 'special event' from Payday 2 that I MUST know about.

I could never figure out why I didn't like Witcher 3 (other than how it hates exploration). Everyone gushes over it, but it's just really boring to me.

Except for the parts where you play as Geralt's daughter, because she has a low-cooldown short-range teleport and literally all games should have that.

the combat is excruciatingly bad, the story is nonsensical and pointless, the sidequests, and to a lesser extent the main quests, are literally nothing but fetch quests.

the dialogue is horrible and wooden, the characters are unlikeable trashbags, the enemies each follow the same exact pattern of attack, attack, attack, retreat, attack attack attack, retreat. and there appears to only be four character animations during conversations. everyone tends to do the same fucking animation. they need to stop with the whole outstretched hand going down in an emphasis for "no"

the only thing this game has going for it are the graphics.

dialogue is an opinion, characters are an opinion, the enemies on lower difficulties probably are that pattern, but on higher difficulties not so much. the animations thing might be true, idk i didn't notice it. you also never said how the no mans sky comparison worked so i'm glad to see you gave up on that lmao

and no, mass effect 2 is my favorite game of all time. or maybe arkham asylum, both are really fun to play. oh and dragon's dogma dark arisen.
