Only do dailies if you must since you are in all but name chasing rainbow rates.

Otherwise save up for FFX/XII.

You already had her though. I've found people on the FFBE board complaining that they can't get Tilith when didn't have her already, and they blew all of their lapis and ticket stock trying to get Amelia the prior week. Completely different!

I have 3 Ilias and no Amelia. Doesn't bother me though.

They were unfortunately doomed, or less doomed odds wise either way expecting getting Amelia, let alone Tilith with meager spending. <_>

(I still want an Ilias, since he is the only none-LE/RB unit I don't have. <_<)

Tilith is so damn good it's ridiculous. I just used her in a legitimate battle for the first time. Took my own 5 person team in with 1 DPS and didn't change any gear (Cecil was in the party with nothing equipped) just for fun against Big Bridge ELT. After that I did Arena and wiped a team after getting Syphon Delta'd twice by their Rem because of Tilith's super MP battery powers. She was well worth the 96 pulls to get her in my eyes.

The hell am I supposed to use the cactaurs from the Titan raid pulls on? I've already maxed out Tillith!

Pretty similar to my 10+1 back in the original BF banner. Pulled Elza, a 5* Tilith and a 4* Tilith from a single 10+1. It was the last time I spent Lapis on a 5k pull too since I knew there was no way I was going to ever get that lucky again.

You want one of Freyvia/Eileen/Noctis/Orlandeau/Ramza for your rainbows.

if you have those, just start adding everyone from the google spreadsheet because everyone can carry you until you settle your team down.

You also want to get a Tilith.

You can't pull her now, but I'm firmly in the camp that Y'Shtola is absolute garbage, and only has value as a healer if you have Ling to make up for her numerous shortcomings.

As far as starting an account goes, it really depends on if you're going to re-roll until you get something good or not (the FFBE board will go ballistic if someone doesn't re-roll, I personally don't think it's world ending if you don't). Right now with the Brave Frontier banner, you want to try and get Tilith (she's the best healer for a very very long time, and the ones that are better than her will be rainbows, which have a 1% drop rate currently). There are a little over 20 5* (rainbow) characters right now, and some are better than others. The best available right now are Olive, Fryevia, Orlandeau, Noctis, Ramza and Aileen as far as damage and overall use goes (I don't think I'm forgetting anybody. Edit: Forgot Ramza. How could I forget Ramza.) Gilgamesh is also good, and his trust master reward is amazing. Marie is a very good support character, and her trust master reward is also amazing.

What's your player ID (in menu, player info). Board 8 takes priority over everything else, so I can clear a spot for you.

I think I'm probably undervaluing her since so many people go nuts about how she's so much better than DC Refia, when the reality is she's not even close. You need Ling's revive to make her viable, since having the basic raise means nothing since you'll need to heal them right after. DC Refia can bring back two characters to full life at once. I tried using Y'Shtola for a bit because she was so hyped, and kept wondering when she got good. The only thing I can think of that makes people go nuts about her is the innate dualcast. If you give dualcast to Refia to take that away from her, there's nothing Y'Shtola can do as a healer that Refia can't do, and do better.

Of course, they're both garbage compared to Tilith now. Tilith is so good.

Y'Shtola was hyped because she's free and is ready to go out of the box, no extra materia or gear required. Most people probably didn't have dualcast to slap on Refia, and so at the time of her initial release, she was arguably the best healer in the game.

Without Refia having dualcast she has more use, but after dualcast it's no contest. That was my big problem when I'd debate that with people. They would still argue that Y'Shtola was better than DC Refia, and the only thing they could use to support that was "Well you can cover her lack of full raise by using Ling, so that means Y'Shtola is better." Drives me nuts.

It's from the Raid Summons. I was making a joke that the one time I see another rainbow, it didn't matter because I already got her from the point rewards.

Oh boy, you're giving this game a try now? Well honestly I'd say the one character you should roll for is Tilith. I think she's considered the best healer in the game right now and she's a limited character. You can only get her while the Brave Frontier collab is going on.

Thankfully, she's only a base 4*, unfortunately she shares the banner with 2 other crappy 4*s, splitting your odds, and you're still very likely the pull off-banner characters, so you still need a good deal of luck to even get her.

I've burned like 25 tickets so far and still haven't gotten her. In fact, I've only pulled 1 banner character from that and I've gotten several off-banner 4*s.

Brave Exvius has just been an outlet of my bad luck.

I don't see that as making her great, or really even useful there. If you need a really good healer to make her good at healing, that says a lot in my eyes. Having a raise spell that needs several curajas afterwards isn't any good for difficult content. It might hold for the story, but long term you're going to want something more difficult, you don't want to have to use 2 slots on a healer all of the time. I'd rather run Cecil in addition to Y'Sthola since he can use Focus to pair with Refia's Embolden and cover the defenses as well as boosting the attacks. He can handle backup healing as well as tanking, which in my eyes has a lot more value. Leaves me 3 slots for other things.

Tilith: I used my heals, and rarely had time to raise targets, buff, act as a mana battery, or throw up resistances.

Y'shtola: I used my earth/wind resistances, raised dead beat and Setzer, healed when appropriate, and used my buffs to get defenses up.

Cecil: I was part of tentacle porn most of the time if I did not guard and died. At rare occasions I could heal or use my LB.


Y'shtola is versatile enough you can adapt her to different tasks.(In this case support role/back up.) Like all other healers she posses a lethal flaw or two someone else have to cover.

Not as good as Tilith, agreed. I think Y'shtola is still currently the second best healer in the game though, and even if you give DC to Refia, she's still not quite as good. I love that Y'shtola has Protectga and Shellga instead of a Traited ability to boost Defense, because you can still simultaneously heal and buff the key defensive stat necessary in the same turn.

I also don't agree with this simply because every healer has shortcomings, even Tilith, so it's not as if they are one man supports.

Y'shtola doesn't need Ling, I passed most of the most difficult content that has been out lately using Y'shtola and Minfilia (I think these two go hand in hand quite well).

My phone died over the weekend so I had to get a new one. I'm waiting for people to restore my accounts on other games so figured I'd give this a try whilst I wait on support (mainly A Team support for Valkyrie Connect)

Which banner do I want to use these tickets on? I see multiple with Tilith on. I got Ludmille from presumably my free summon and then Ovelia (FFT) from the 250 summon. I have 7 tickets to use.

They pretty much hammered down that narrative with Minifilia's enhancements. It's a pity though they did not boost Y'shtola's raise like they have with some. We can only hope Gumi learn from that when we get the next FF14 raid down the road with Garuda.

Same with *6 Fina, and not boosting her Cheer's effect on top of that...

Which brings it to a full circle why Refia haven't even gotten hers despite they are do not warrant this stalling just like Cecil's.
