I'm starting to wonder if the interest in getting this film created have anything to do with America's increasingly sensitive climate as of the past few years, Oscar so White and all that. Maybe it's because I so rarely saw myself reflected in said characters, but I had no idea that people had a habit of projecting themselves onto the protagonists.
