Poll of the Day > You know, as much as I enjoy Breath of the Wild, it is very repetitive.

Would be great, if for once, there was some other temple to explore than another goddamn shrine.

Especially for the alters of Courage, Power, and Wisdom.

The game gives you so many options to accomplish goals

If it is repetetive it is kinda your own fault

Not really. Everything challenge or puzzle you come across either results in another Korok seed or a shrine. The temples from Ocarina of Time are just gone. No mention of them. The location of the shrines leaves some to wonder, as the placement of the top entrance means it through a considerable distance just to open up into an underground chasm. Hell, there's two shrines out in the ocean on islands. How the fuck did the ancients manage to dig a freaking well down through the water and then build an underground temple without problems from decompression sickness and water pressure? Not to mention that it's been years since these shrines were built. How the fuck are they still in one piece? It'd would've been cool to see some that are falling apart, like the rest of the world.

But no. Can't have that. Nintendo Logic.

Aren't most games repetitive by their core mechanics bar some add mini game extravaganza.

There are a couple of shrines that have pretty different mechanics, but the game DOES feel like you're playing open world Portal trying to get to the next puzzle room.

Its still fantastic, but it could have been oh, so much more. Maybe for the sequel!

I kind of felt the same thing. I've explored the entire map, have maybe 100 Korok seeds, 40-50 shrines, and got one of the divine beasts.

Now it feels incredibly boring.

I would still rate the game a solid 7-8/10, but the weapons break so frequently that I can't help feeling slightly irritated a lot of the time.

I feel ya, TC.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Breath of the Wild. The world design is amazing.

I just wish there was more than just killing baddies, discovering shrines, finding Koroks, sidequests, and cooking.
