How do you fare with public speaking?

I used to be horrible at it back in high school, to the point where I used to be trembling. Now I am decent at it.

Far better than I used to. I stumble over words but I'm not literally visibly shaking compared to when we had speeches in elementary school.

I hated the classes, but once i figured out i could just tweak my english papers and turn them into speeches, i knocked em out. I have no problem doing it now for work when i need.to.

I've talked my way out of 2 traffic tickets and convinced a crowd of angry protesters that I was a trans man on years of HRT for a free bag of chips+water.

Im not that great. It really depends on the situation. I can talk to a group of people just fine but if you put me in front of a crowd I clam up.

For 30-90 seconds, I'm usually okay (depending on the audience). After that, I can't keep it together.

i'm the exact opposite. i don't have trouble speaking in front of a crowd but small groups make me nervous.

Same. Got over my shyness. It's still there, but I'm better at handling it than I used to be.

Yeah, for me I gradually got over shyness.

I'm pretty bad. I talk fast and I stutter and my accent decides to come out full force when I have to speak publically. I don't even hate public speaking, it's just that I'm bad at it

I had to work through similar issues. In a large crowd everyone kind of blends together. In a smaller crowd I tend to notice more individuals.

Anyway, I don't think I'm good at speaking to a crowd but for some reason crowds like me. This gets me through the nervousness very easily. People actually listen to my boring speeches about our company's new software and shit because I throw some personality in there. I stammer over words though and occasionally will mumble a bit though, which is definitely not good.

I am pretty horrible at it. I forget how to pronounce words and it all goes to shit. Unfortunately, I have to do it way more than I like thanks to work implementing Lean Six Sigma and tollgates... ugh.

The thing that gets me is putting me front and center. I can talk to a group all day long but you put me in front of them at a podium I get nervous. Very situational for me.

I don't like it, but I'll consider myself decent at it. Once I get up there, everything comes naturally, but I owe that to years of having to do oral presentations in front of class.

Some of my Professors have even complimented my speaking voice.

I'm a slow starter

For the first 5 or so minutes I might stumble through it but once I hit my stride with the audience it's fine. Too bad that doesn't help for 10 minute presentations.

I find it pretty easy, but I used to do acting as a way to treat social anxiety and thrived doing it. I only get nervous if Im depressed/self conscience, otherwise I have no problems whatsoever. Can even make the audience laugh a bit.

One on one or in groups of strangers/unfamiliars, tho. That's a whole other story.

decent. it's much easier if you're talking about something interesting and you can get the audience involved.

in several of my college classes i had to do a presentation up in front. one was in front of a big lecture hall. that was quite terrifying but it at least everyone was respectful. the small classrooms went alot easier and I was able to engage the audience and it eased a lot of the awkwardness.

Decent.

I give 1-hour presentations fairly often to crowds of about 50-70 people. I also do webinars.

That's awesome!
