Most of the workers are total suckers apparently so there is a precedent for some reason that by default we only get paid until closing time. Well, it is literally impossible to leave as soon as the clock strikes 10:30 because if a customer comes in at 10:29, we have to serve them. So there is always a ton of shit to put away after 10:30, plus stock to count and machines to turn off. Usually takes me 15 minutes at least and I feel like I'm the only one who asks for OT pay. Minimum of 48 hours a week sometimes 60 or 72 if I pick up extra shifts. Some of my coworkers have put in well over a hundred in one week. I usually like being at work though. My job is pretty awesome and I make really good money so I won't complain. The rotation makes me tired almost all the time though. Especially day shifts.
