A confident smile is +2 points.

A blank death stare is -5.

You know how in real life little Chihuahuas scare away bears with pure confidence?

So, when my mom takes photos of me outside should I just look away from the camera and not smile?

Am I just one of those guys with a punchable face or something? Seems like if I smile I am creepy and if I don't I am creepy.
Creepy is like the new nerd since nerds became mainstream and cool.

Your face is fine you just look dead serious, you look like you need to lighten up. Creepy's not the new cool when it comes to real life.

Surely you know how to smile.

Yeah, the issue isn't that you look creepy when you smile, it's that you look creepy then you're forcing a smile for the camera. You need a photo where you have a natural smile. Those other pics of you smiling, you're looking dead into the camera and your smile doesn't look genuine. It's a bit unnerving.

Like I said before, try to get out somewhere, get some natural lighting (ie the sun), have someone take candid photos of you just acting naturally. If they take a dozen pics or so, chances are good at least one of them will look decent. If you're smiling in the pic, then great. If you can get a good one without smiling, that's great too. Just don't force it because that's obviously not working for you. And standing directly in front of the camera taking selfies isn't working, either. You look like you're in a police lineup.

Maybe it's the glasses, hipster haircut and shemagh that's putting them off.

#1 tip for taking a photo is to not look directly into the camera
use natural lighting, either outside or a nice window, don't have the light hit you from directly in front or behind you, look towards the light source (not necessarily directly at it)

also remember it's not a mugshot, you can lean, cross your arms, toss a ball, thumbs up or something, anything.

Smiling into the camera for a Tinder shot is fine if it looks good.

Go and buy a suit. Not a cheap one - get one fitted. (you can still get one for not much $$). Also buy a nice watch and take a picture of you in the suit - making sure the watch is showing.

Wearing t-shirts with phrases or sayings on them will not get you far.

He doesn't need a suit, just a nicer shirt than what he's wearing. A suit would be overdoing it, not to mention may be something he can't afford.

Assuming this isn't a troll topic, you're not ugly but your pictures are shitty. Follow this advice if you're serious

https://www.reddit.com/r/OkCupid/comments/2nebpt/step_1_be_attractive_step_2_dont_be_unattractive/

I went from having a few matches to having so many matches that I don't know what to do with all of them. Pictures really make all the difference

provide a picture in a real life situation, you know, hanging out in a pub with friends, doing stuff, you know, just don't come across as a boring dork nolifer. I mean I don't get much myself (in 2-ish months I think I got around 10 matches is all) but it's a non-zero number so the percentages will be in your favour eventually. Most guys are average looking
