Well, seeing as how I work in IT, I'd be on a long-unpaid vacation as I won't be able to do anything aside from cleaning and organizing stock supplies. Would need to be done on spreadsheets that are saved locally to the PC, but even then, that's iffy.

Aside from not being able to do much at work, probably do a lot of reading or working on hobbies. Lots of downtime without Steam, Reddit, PotD, etc.

Why would they? Wouldn't make any sense. And, in general, pretty much all of society would shut down given how much business infrastructure relies on the internet.

Just gone? That's a pain in the ass but I'll manage. I don't have local copies of everything I'm working with/on atm. I'll figure something out.

If I have some sort of notice, then I just set things up so I can work offline, and then work offline for a week. No big deal.

Enjoy the peace and quiet. My job would all but stop until the net is back on.
I guess it would be possible to keep going but extremely laborious.
As for entertainment, I'd be fine. I use an offline media centre and have plenty of movies and games that I haven't even made a dent in.
The boy would lose his shit with no youtube and the missus might just break her increasingly annoying failbook habit.

I'm pretty sure you'd be sitting in your office all week answering back to back phone calls of people wondering why their Facebook stopped working and complain that their ISP doesn't really have anything to do with Facebook.

Nah. They'd just be asking me why I'm not doing anything or what they pay us for and then I'd have to explain that this is out of my hands and if they have any objections, they can talk to my boss.

Great stories have been told about this place where people lay in the grass, walk their dogs, socialise and many other wonderful things. A place where people drive cars, ride bikes and go swimming! I've never seen this place and based on these unbelievable stories I've heard I can only assume this place is a myth. Still I'd like to very much find out if this place really exists. I only have a name to go on at this point though but I feel that will be enough. It seems folk call this place.... outside!
