if you use adblock or adblock plus, they don't sneak through.

they're literally allowed through because they paid the developers off

this wouldn't bug me except there's no way to skip even after 15 seconds like there used to be and they're like a minute fucking long.

I haven't had this problem. Also, I think AdBlock (not Plus) has the option to turn off that feature that allows paid sponsors to bleed through.

not sure but if I recall I was able to opt out of the adblock "we'll only show you 'good' ads" program. I haven't seen a youtube ad in weeks.

I'm also using ublock on one of my other computers as per helly's recommendation and it works good too

Try manual update of the block list.

If it takes me forty-five seconds to mute and/or turn off a thirty-second video, I will go to the trouble of doing so. I can't stand being forced to do something I don't want to. For the rest of my life, if they manage to get their name across to me, I will avoid the company in the ad. It does them more harm than good, I think.

Pretty sure the others from the Calgary area can back me up on the old "Blaskin and Lane" radio ad. I will not use them for my vehicle.

Someones gotta pay for all those racist and homophobic comments
