Only worth playing if you've played Alan Wake and the DLC. American Nightmare is a straight continuation, it doesn't function at all as a standalone story.

EDIT: Which reminds me, Alan Wake has been pulled from digital marketplaces. So unless there's somebody here that has the game in their backlog for ages, this giveaway is a bust.

That game decided to take the original game which was horror and change it into straight action because "dat CoD game sells well".
