I've learned many things over the month about this game which I really wanted to get excited for.

The graphics are crap, but I can handle that. I can still go back and play the original Street Fighter 2 and have fun.
The music, so far, has been pretty weak. That one bothers me, but I might just get use to it.
The story is awful and is way too heavily emphasized. This one really bothers me given the low quality of everything else. Story in fighting games.....? I mean, it's not bad to have per say, but it shouldn't be the main focus. Fighting other players should always be the main focus in a fighting game.
The voice acting is terrible....ugh, but I'd probably only play the story mode once anyway.

All that so far I can deal with, however....I absolutely HATE the roster. I have 2 characters out of 28 I want to play, and at least 20 I know I don't want to play.

Even after all that, I was still considering giving this game a try because the actual gameplay seemed ok, and then I did some in depth analyzing of it and realized how horribly broken and new player friendly it is.

I think the hate over the graphics is overblown, honestly. The only issue is with animations, which makes them all look emotionless. Hopefully that gets fixed. And yeah, the roster is definitely lacking.

But absolutely everything in this game mechanics-wise is a sound and understandable decision that I feel is going to help make this game exciting and fun.

The graphics don't look "bad", per se, but when they're recycling last-gen models and animations with shading and colors that makes everything look duller than in that 6-year-old last-gen game, it's not exactly a visual feast.

I'm going to be discussing this with some people in my gaming community. Personally I think if you really analyze it you'll see that the fighting engine in this game isn't all it's cracked up to be. If you're not a very experienced fighting player you'll probably love it as it does offer a lot of freedom, but if you're a hardcore fighting player then there's some cause for concern.

Old isn't the same as bad. There are old games that still look good, and new games that look bad, even if from a technical standpoint the newer game is more "advanced".

I didn't say that I think SF2 looks bad. It looked great for the time and I'm not taking that away from it, I'm just saying that graphics aren't specifically a deal breaker for me in whether I like a fighting game or not.
