You would think that they would have all upgraded to FM long ago

This is my signature, there are many others like it, but this one is mine.
If you take 110% of what I say seriously then you're gonna have a bad time.

That's not how this works at all.

Tell me how either FM or AM radio works though, not braud strokes, how they work on a mechanical level.

FM communicates by frequency, AM uses amplitude.

I don't know the real details, but the waves are transmitted differently.

Yeah, how do they transmit those? How do they keep the frequencies in check? What frequencies are used and where? What about harmonics? How do you amplify it without exploding things?
Like it's not easy stuff.

^^ One time I put a metal rod on an amp and I heard FM radio from the amp. You probably reverse the whole thing to transmit.

I don't know. I never looked into it because radio is an outdated technology altogether.

So if I put an amp on top of a metal rod...

...You'll cure cancer. Correct.

You might get Tourettes if you do it wrong, so be careful.

Unless I get turrets instead. That would be an acceptable outcome as well.

Tourettes is only an acceptable weapon when fighting another's feelings.

Of course that rules out turrets from Amplifiers.

I thought you were too high to understand how muscles work.

Like drones? Sure, I guess they are. I actually learned a little about radio waves while designing a drone. I still don't really know much. I just know one end sends data and the other gets it.

I listen to AM stations every now and then. Just for sports talk radio though. There is one station on FM for sports but at least 3 on AM.
