I'm almost done with spring on this playthrough. haven't decided who I'm dating yet. mostly focused on mining up to this point.

I ended up with Leah just because I was doing so much foraging in the forest, and she was always right there, and would happily accept anything I plucked from the ground or off a bush.

I ended up with penny because her life is so miserable and it seems the only way that she can possibly get a happy ending is if the player character marries her. I pretty much felt bad going for anyone else.

playing with a mouse seems really awkward
watching you break every single stone on every level is excruciating

also the reason why sometimes people don't respond when you click on them is because you've already talked to them. I think what happened in the lab is you were trying to examine the counter but Maru was in the way, and since you already talked to her nothing was happening.

for some reason your reaction when you saw Emily in the saloon at the end made me laugh

breaking every single rock on every floor is a huge waste of energy.

yeah rocks that look out of the ordinary and have stuff inside of them are generally worth breaking

you'll probably have trouble with inventory management until you upgrade your rucksack or if you leave everything at home and bring only your pick axe and sword with you into the mines



btw that comment about people throwing rocks at linus tent probably bugs me more than anything else in this entire game. so, here's the thing. there's not any character in the roster of Stardew Valley who it fits their personality to go and throw rocks at his tent. however, it doesn't seem like it's in Linus personality to lie about it either. so... like... how is this happening exactly? huge continuity goof in my opinion.

you might have forgotten this but I think after you examine the community center you should have gotten a letter from Rasmodius. he tells you where he lives and asks you to come visit him. this seems to be the step you're missing, unless he hasn't sent the letter yet.

hmm also just so you know, there's not really any benefit to taking long days. it's both more efficient (and more entertaining) to have say two 10-minute long days as opposed to one really long 20-minute long day. you'll make progress on the farm twice as fast too since everything is based on daily counters.

I think you could argue it either way. If you're trying to accomplish as much as possible before the start of the third year, then you'd want the long days. OTOH, if you don't care, then yeah, it's better to just let the calendar whiz by.
