The thing about Smash, if you're playing with people and have items on, you're more playing a party game that has some fighting elements in it. Which is just fine. I enjoy the games. I like the Dead or Alive and Soul Caliber series. But the game overall seems to be meant to be more of a party game with some basic fighting elements.
