NES.

I have a 2600 but it's one of those reproductions they make from time to time, and only came out last year.

The NES, though, is an original. I did have to chsnge out the 72 pin connector last year but it's in fine shape.

The oldest console I own is an old school PS1 which I bought from a used game store in December 2015.

I bought an Xbox 360 about 3 weeks ago.

I have fat 60GB PS3 I've had for almost 10 years but it crapped out over a year ago and has been sitting on my closet floor since then.

The console I owned for the longest time was my SNES which I bought used from a young cop in 1995 as my first console. I trashed it in early 2013 since it wasn't staying on for more than 5 minutes on any game.

I have a Genesis that's not really a Genesis but a Sega cheap retail remake with inbuilt games but you can still play stuff on it. I don't have any cartilages but I could buy some from the used game place.

Does anyone have a working Game Gear? The bad capacitors have killed off the vast majority of them by now. The same will be true of the original Xbox in a few years, at least for the ones that haven't had the faulty clock capacitor removed, though most people don't even know about that.

I have an original Pong Tele-games system that works swell. Also an Atari 2600 that's in great condition. I believe Tele-games wins that fight though, I think it's circa 1975.

I also got a Colecovision as well, but haven't turned it on in over a year, so I can't officially confirm it. My NES and every other mainstream console (everything but a PS3) I own all work fine too.

FTR I made a hobby out of collecting retro systems, hence why I got 'em. I even have a handful of still-functional Game & Watches :D

Consider yourself impressed, then. Mine still runs perfectly fine. Had to swap out the disc drive at one point (got the disc read error, and they wanted to charge me $150 to send it in for repair, so I bought the part online and a soldering kit for $30 total and did it myself).

I also have a launch N64 in working order. Haven't used it in a while, so it could probably use a dusting, but it's in perfect shape. And I would have an SNES as well, but I'm pretty sure my college roommate stole it when he graduated and moved out. The day he left was the last time I ever saw it. -_- I fucking hate that guy...

The original Game Boy actually lasts a relatively long time on standard batteries. I remember getting like 20+ hours per set. The Game Gear on the other hand eats through fresh batteries in like an hour and a half. I dunno about GBC but it's probably comparable to the original GB.

To be fair, I bought all those retro ones WAY after the fact for collecting. The oldest original console I have that was "mine" is my NES.
