im subbed to prime and i never get preordered games on release day. a couple days ago i order some kitty litter and i open the box and theres a huge tear in the bag and litter is spilled out everywhere in the box

live in Illinois. i talked to their cs many times and they just say sorry and say it wont happen again but it always does. only reason i ordered litter there because it was a few bucks cheaper than the kind i get at the store

My son broke his kids version kindle fire. Right on the box huge disclaimer 2 year worry free warranty. I had to jump through hoops with their customer service to get it repaired/replaced. Mind you it did after several hours of phone redirecting but the experience was really bad.

its been a slow decline, I started noticing it about 2-3 years ago. It has gotten worse in the past year though. I live in Seattle and only get 2 day shipping on time about 2/3 the time.

The "free delivery" here in the UK is whack. Used to be free delivery, period. Then it was free if you spent £10. I can deal with that. But now it's only free with £20 spent??? To hell with that.

I'm not defending them but at least they replaced it. I've had the wonderful experience of being denied warranty coverage by a ton of businesses

I have preordered every game in the past year I wanted from Amazon, and they all arrived in good condition and on release day. I also live in Illinois. No huge issues so far, and if something was wrong, I return the product with no hassle, hell even got discounts cause my release date shipping items didn't ship the day before, but they still arrived on release date.

Didn't really have troubles with Amazon they didn't resolve as soon as I contacted them.
Main "problem" I have with them is their raising the minimal threshold for free shipping from $25 to $35, as others mentionned already, but heh. I can easily find something for that extra $10. Though sometimes it's a pain, when what I wanted to buy in the first place was $10-15, an extra 20-25 for free shipping can be troublesome. But there's always something I can get that I need. (mostly household cleaning products and such)

Their warehouses have been pretty shitty for at least 5-6 years. Some shit I'd get straight up opened/ripped and this is the same with Best Buy.

Because of all that, the CS had a lot leeway to make it good for you.

But people abused the shit out of that kindness and now they've been ramped down and give you a lot trouble and eventually ban you with no way to appeal.

Amazon has been going to trash since they started adding sales tax.

At least in Ontario, they've always had sales tax. I'm sure it's the same for the other provinces. Regarding the US, aren't you legally obligated to pay those taxes in most states anyway? There's only a handful of exceptions.
