Honestly, TC, you shared a photo over the internet. It reached the public domain. Most of us have made this mistake at one time or another. Lesson learned, eh?

It's not the public domain

From Snapchat:

Of course, you’ll also provide us whatever information you send through the services, such as Snaps and Chats to your friends. Keep in mind that the users you send Snaps, Chats, and any other content to can always save that content or copy it outside the app. So, the same common sense that applies to the internet at large applies to Snapchat as well: Don’t send messages or share content that you wouldn’t want someone to save or share.

How would you propose they would stop this? There are always ways to save content.

Legal channels that their users can utilize to prevent theft

Do you not understand that you agreed to the ToS and Privacy Policy when you created an account on SnapChat? Yes, that is the case (above), it is directly pulled from their Privacy Policy on their website.

Do you not understand that a ToS is not legally binding

There's a significant difference in sending some a nude picture over snapchat and them saving verus someone accessing your icloud without your permissions and sharing the contents.

Because you gave the other party permission to your picture whereas in the other situation the pictures were accessed without permission.

Of course sharing them is a shitty move regardless, they aren't very similiar as you could have easily not sent the picture in the first place.
