Also, when this game came out and was new, a game review in a magazine gave the game a 1/10 saying, quote: " I'd give this game a zero, but it actually did boot when I put the cartridge into the N64"

Sea otter males pursue the females relentlessly during mating season. Even after they are caught, female sea otters vigorously resist mating. So vigorously, that the males hold the female's head underwater to subdue her. Sometimes females drown during mating.

Because the male bites the female on the head to subdue her, females suffer serious wounds during mating often biting the nose off of her face. In one survey, 4% of female sea otter deaths came from these wounds. And males will continue attempting to mate with dead females.

Scientists have observed some male sea otters pursuing, subduing, and attempting to mate with other species, such as harbor seal pups. Once again, these acts are sometimes so violent that the harbor seal pup dies, but the male sea otter keeps attacking the pup for up to seven days.

One sea otter attempted to mate with a dead bird and a dead dog. The otter was even suspected of killing the dog.

Sure, I'm just bored from trying to do school stuff anyway.

So to start off though, I just just explain what the hell plastic mold injection is before I explain what goes wrong with it. So it's actually a straightforward idea; take liquid plastic, and jam it into a hole so the liquid plastic fills it, and then the plastic cools and hardens, and suddenly you have some plastic that looks like the hole you put it in!

Now, what goes wrong with that?
Well, for starters you can have a simple problem of not actually enough plastic going into the mold (the metal hole you put the plastic in), that's called a short shot: https://www.paulsontraining.com/images/shortshot.jpg
For obvious reasons this is bad.

The opposite of that is when you have too much plastic going into the mold, which is called flash: https://www.paulsontraining.com/images/injection-molded-part-flash.jpg
You can actually find flash in a lot, lot of places if you start looking at stuff that's made (I even found a stupid amount of flash in a milk jug once). Normally though it's monitored because customers don't like looking at parts that are structurally fine, but have a little diddly bit on the end and they think it's a bad part. Fixing it is as easy as just taking a knife to it though, so it's not a big deal.

Now things start getting more complicated with the actual plastic itself though.

So if you have any plastic that's even slightly wet, you get something named Splay which is caused by the water actually evaporating and not letting the plastic melt all the way:

Nobody cares about it if nobody sees it though, but you can't reasonably fix it, just sort of cover it up.

You can sometimes fix this stuff by popping them with a knife and then rubbing it down with your fingernail or finger, which sucks doing it after a few hours.

All of this is just from a few things, there's so goddamn much that can go wrong with this stuff.

It would take just 36 pounds of gold to completely cover a football field, and 11 tons to completely cover Central Park in NYC.
