I probably wouldn't get a sports car even if I was a rich, but saying I was and changed my mind, I'd get an automatic because I don't know how to drive a manual and I don't particularly see the point in learning to.

Are you talking about a true manual transmission, because they are getting hard to find now. A lot of the high end sports cars have moved to the dual clutch automatic transmissions.

of course i'm talking about true manuals, dual clutches are really expensive, or so i've heard and i don't think they're any faster than a true automatic

If it is truly something sporty I'd prefer manual. I prefer automatic in vehicles that I would drive casually in.

It would be automatic again. A manual is only beneficial to 1 litre civics racing around small tracks or autocross. Real serious racing cars are usually a form of automatic. Also, i city drive, manual is a pain in the ass. I'm 67, I've done my manual time. Auto is more fun. --- He who stumbles around in darkness with a stick is blind. Manual, if I can even find one. I'm assuming I still keep a daily driver and not commuting in the sports car of course.
