Most of the people watching WWE hated that segment and didn't want them there in the first place.

If anything, the real problem is that the people who run the WWE have been starfuckers for more than 30 years now, and will desperately grab their ankles for any celebrity or pseudo-celebrity willing to pretend to be their friend for a few minutes in a desperate bid for more mainstream attention.

Though honestly, none of those people would have been there at all if shitty basketball fans hadn't turned them into pseudo-celebs in the first place.

Granted, I also haven't bothered paying any attention to the WWE since the decision to put the belt on Goldberg for no reason so he could lose it to Lesnar who will sit on it forever with almost no defenses until he eventually loses it to Reigns.

That is so WWE. It's also filled with people who desperately hate and look down on wrestling, which is why we often see them drooling to bring in outside talent who know nothing about the business.

While it does make some sense to channel pop culture for relevancy, once upon a time that meant bringing in Mr. T to work a Wrestlemania and having Hulk Hogan cameo in a Rocky movie. Nowadays it's a lot of no-name celebs with little or no build-up and absolutely zero payoff. And even when they bring in a bigger name, like Hugh Jackman, it's for a brief appearance where they shit on the talent by making them look weak.

Yeah 2017 has been bad this year, usually it is dumb people that get this type of attention, but America is really lifting up bottom of the barrel.
