Mario is classic nintendo. You can get Chrono trigger on the DS, PSX, and the PSN store. The SMARs versions of the NES games are superior over the NES versions cause you could save progress and better graphics.

TLDR: CT is not exclusive, SMARS is exclusive to the SNES

Whose the best party member out of Chrono trigger v.s Super Mario RPG?

Note: Lucca is a magic user just like Marle but Marle is a princess which makes her comparable to Princess Peach. Magus just has the basic magic type upgraded spells of Chrono, Marle, and Luca. He's nothing special other than that. I didn't even use him for the final battle. But he can be comparable to Bowser.

Being able to get Chrono Trigger anywhere is weird reasoning when you can get these Mario games in far more places. Not being able to save on the NES versions isn't a relevant complaint when we're talking about re-releases. You can just use save states on the NES Classic and VC versions. As for the graphics, "better" is debatable. Of course they're "better" in an objective sense, but some people, me included, prefer playing these games with their original aesthetic and find that some things are lost with the SNES updates.
