It's a brilliant move, purely from a marketing tactic. The game was essentially done and on its way out the door before they canned in favour of Star Fox 64. This is going to drive sales pretty hard. At least this way, they can finally recoup some of the losses incurred from the development cycle. I just hope they have more SNES Classic Minis than NES classic Minis.

There's always been hope for Star Fox. The only home consoles it didn't have a major release for were the NES and the Wii.

Honestly I'm disappointed in the system, they could easily fit every SNES game ever made on it if they felt like it, but instead they just put it out with 20 games or w/e

I like that the NES Mini was aimed at non-core audiences and still sold out, so this one they included a never released game to make sure both audiences would want this one.

Nintendo actually has to play on the up-and-up, unlike the consumers who would rather play every single video game out there.
