The local government of NOLA only cares about the wants and needs of transplants and tourists
http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2017/06/french_quarter_bienville_robbe.html Locals continually get beaten, robbed, raped, and murdered over and over and all WE ever get is the city saying "You'll be fine, there's no problem here, quit complaining" But the moment some braindead tourists get assaulted in the Quarter now the city has changed their tune to "WE HAVE TO STOP THE VIOLENCE!" I got out when the getting was good. I don't understand louisiana's choices of governors. They're each as corrupt and self-serving as the next.
