No. What I want is for panels like this to talk to their bubble and for other panels to talk to their bubbles in peace. People can have different opinions about things without intimidating and insulting others. YouTubers can have panels that interact with their fans and audience without others trying to crash it. That sounds great.

What I don't want is a bunch of lame ass YouTubers trying to a fight culture war by disrupting and insulting others in a desperate attempt to gain more supporters and patreon money.

No actions that are officially hate crimes, a clear political and racial (or in this case sexual) agenda, and polarizing narcissists at the top of the organization. I haven't watched a lot of Anita Sarkeesian's videos, but I think she has a valuable voice and perspective, and that many, if not most of her loudest critics are motivated by genuine hate and human ugliness. (Sargon of Akkad included.) ...His presence at this panel doesn't strike me as benign.

Gamergate has tried to hold panels at conventions several times. They're typically cancelled because anti-gamergate folks protest, threaten to raise a public stink, etc. They don't want to allow Gamergate a public platform.

Fighting games have solid females to choose from. Pretty much any game that lets you customize your character gives you female options.

Then yeah, there's the JRPG genre filled with great female leads and supports.

What womanly issues are you talking about here? Most VG characters are just your avatar going through the game. And male characters are sexualized and animated to ridiculous and unrealistic proportions all the time too.

To be fair, all Final Fantasy games with job systems could be described as "get new abilities by changing their clothes". 3, 5, Tactics (for non-unique party members), etc.

Sarkeesian does not differentiate the two. She doesn't allow comments, rebuttals, debates or whatever. Criticism and inquiry is the same as a personal attack to her. But I believe it has to be that way or her house of cards will come falling down. She can not allow others to have their voices heard or people will start to see through her, instead of how it is now where so many of the people she takes advantage of seem to be falling over themselves to kowtow to her wants and apologize on her behalf.
