I'm starting to plan a trip back East early next year for a cousins wedding. Not wearing your metal goggles I hope! Try joining meetup.com and like.... join one of those groups for kayaking or something like that. Rather than having social friends (verbally), try to seek activity friends who you can share adventures with. I did that and honest to God, the group I went with got me all the way to going back to school. I feel like I am actually getting somewhere in life again. If you are sitting around depressed and thinking about this stuff all the time, you aren't keeping yourself occupied enough. Ever think of joining a sport? Book club? Theater? If you are sitting around depressed and thinking about this stuff all the time, you aren't keeping yourself occupied enough. Ever think of joining a sport? Book club? Theater? Something that you can put a lot of effort and time into? I'm not sure if that'd really be any good for me, because I'd feel incredibly awkward. I just hope I get hired soon since having a job again will keep me occupied & I'll probably meet some new people that way as well. What kind of steps have you been taking to get a new job?
