the issue of her buffs is that they come in three ways:

- she takes damage
- she dodges, which you don't point out much for some reason (check the ninja skills)
- she deals damage

personally the second is the big one for me, if she's taking damage then she's not in a good position and will need to focus on counter-attacking, which... in fairness, the ninja skillset does do. dealing damage is where she has a lot of potential and the only reason why i think she's got it.

i mean if he does he wins sure but if she does then she wins, so that's a wash.
if they're in opposite sides of a medium sized room, she can probably default once safely. if it's in a bigger one, she gets more times to do it and she'll win. if it's small, he'll win. generally i think there's more scenarios where she'd be found in larger rooms with more than one entrance so that's the nudge.

She heals every time she hits him. So she's not going down quickly. Richter has to outlast her when she's healing on every hit and he has no healing whatsoever. It's a tall task to ask of anyone.

Oh yes, the Belmonts aren't 'random dude with whip' level at all. But like there's a really strong boost against Dracula's homies so feats against them should be taken with a grain of salt. The matchup vs Hector is a better showing in general.

But they weren't facing the forces of darkness in that time before being exiled since Drac was not active. And Leon was a known crusader for the church, fighting wars. If humans were going to fear them for being superhuman and no longer did the instant they start fighting monsters, pretty clear they're scary on their own power!

I don't think any physical parameters of the Belmonts are ever challenged as anything less than the top of Castlevania humans.

What does sense of direction have to do with that?
Like she'll be wandering around a completely abnormal path so she shouldn't be where he may expect her to be. Finding someone like that is a huge pain in the ass for him so he's not going to have any real reason to be able to predict her direction at all.

But sense of direction and being lost is completely separate from getting the jump on someone. If you know what to expect that may be possible but if you don't, then it's just a matter of placement - who gets to what where. No reason he gets the drop on her more than she gets it on him if they're both moving around and she isn't in any expected pathway. Matter of luck to who sees who and how far they are. Now, if she does stop it'd probably be in a place where she's got distance from the entrance so she can maximize the brave/default system. But I'm not sure that'll happen.
