He was more powerful and didn't take crap from anyone. I remember watching the cartoon and he stood up to Flash with it on. And I am saying to myself this is how this cat should act all the time. He is super powerful and in college and still letting someone bully him. Nuts to that . Heck even in the horrible movie , besides the dancing he was better with it on.
