Games and their soundtracks motivates me a lot. Kingdom Hearts impressed me a lot as its story is beautiful and based on friendship. Soundtracks like The Story of Thousand Years Door (from Paper Mario TTYD) is really amazing. I'm impressed by its background theme (I don't know how can I explain but if you hear this soundtrack, just focus on its beginning and keep listening to it.) Then you will come to know how fast that person played the instruments.
And this site also motivates me. I'm impressed how large this site has become. New games, cheats, FAQs, etc. Games and only games.
These all things helped me to choose Game Developer as my aim/career.

Finding the real meaning of life. Existentialism/Nihilism doesn't do it for me.

The purpose of every creature alive is to generate as much happiness as possible, for yourself or others. Whatever it may be.

I'm a big fan of Utilitarianism. Mill's version not Bentham's though.

Finding the real meaning of life.

There isn't one.

My question to you is: If there's no higher meaning than that we create for ourselves, or even none at all, how do we explain the absurdity of life? Why is there unnecessary suffering in the world? Why are we on a big floating ball orbiting around another big floating ball? Why are we equipped with the propensity to ask so many absurd metaphysical questions like these ones?

Pure and simple; coincidence.

Interesting conclusion. Although coincidence doesn't actually explain the phenomena, it just suggests they are that way because that's the way they are. But I won't deny that's a clever argument.

There is no explanation to be had. Things can be just because they are. Not everything needs to have reasoning such as the universe and the things it entails.

Nihilism and atheism, ironically.
I never really bought into the idea of life having a purpose, at any point in my religious journey. It wasn't something I dwelled on, though. When I finally did start pondering it, it was hard to justify accepting anything as an objective purpose, mainly because of the complication of what is deciding that. (I was an atheist by the time I started thinking about it.) I don't necessarily believe there definitely isn't a purpose or meaning to it all - I just haven't seen a good answer yet. I could see why someone reaching those points from the opposite starting point would lead to severe emotional problems; for me, god and faith were little more than background noise even at my most religious.

In a weird way, this view of things has helped me as much as it has harmed me. The idea that this life is all I have and, as far as I can tell, there's no particular goal for it set out for me, generally leaves me wanting to see what happens. At this point I find the idea of life having an objective purpose repellant. Every so often I'll have one of those "what's stopping me from walking into traffic" moments, but they eventually pass as I remember that I can't withdraw that choice once I've made it. I'm on this ride anyway, might as well see where it goes.

Think logically. All our actions revolve around happiness.

Hungry? Eat a bacon cheeseburger. You're happy.

Horny and lonely? Fuck a hot girl and gain her love. Now you're happy.

Broke? Get a good job. Happy.

It's all a form of happiness, life is the pursuit of pleasure by your definition. The miserable ones are those who dont know how to generate happiness or refuse to.

This looks to be a response to me based on when you're posting it.
That isn't how I define it. I don't consider biology an objective source for a life purpose. We defy our own biology constantly, individually and as a society.
