Climbing on everything. Great mechanic. No more are the days of Skyrim where you have to hop up a mountain. Even Horizon Zero Dawn, which is amazing in every other regard, has a shit climbing system. Getting over that mountain shouldn't be hard for a badass adventurer. Just let me climb it!

always was annoyed in games like uncharted for the climbing sequences. it's barely more than an interactive movie since it's just one linear path to get to the next objective. there's no difference in how i tackle climbing vs everyone else.

and i'd say BOTW was way better than most of the high profile games released this year

which is exactly why I like the climbing mechanic. Does it make sense that you can just scale any surface like spider-man? Heck no, but I fucking hate doing the Skyrim hop to get over mountains that I'm too lazy to go around.
