Yeah it was less survival horror and more action horror, unlike the first, but it was dare I say the better game.

The first game, for all intents and purposes, was just resident evil with dinosaurs. Same controls, same everything almost. It's only unique feature was that it was dinosaurs instead of zombies. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but it never really had that actual dinosaur feel to it, it felt like resident evil with model swaps.

Dino crisis 2 though, was badass. I'm replaying it now actually and it's still fun. It's greater focus on action, and having way way more dinosaurs, and dinosaur types, plus a location that was basically a "fine Jurassic park fans, here's the setting you want!" Place, it was ultimately a better game.

Plus, you could shoot while moving. This was revolutionary for the genre at the time lol. And ironically, the setting is kinda cool, a town that disappeared through time, and you get sent immediately behind it, but...the town has actually been in the past for a long time by the time you get there.

It's always been one of my favorite action games and I was one of the ones disappointed by whatever the fuck dino crisis 3 was supposed to be.

Dino Crisis 2 was an incredibly popular game. The arcade version was in movie theaters and arcades all over.

I actually thought Dino Crisis 3 was cool. Very um...different from 2 but fun in its own way. I liked the combat. I loved the jetpack thing.
