I never hear a good news story involving the flag. Usually it's someone desecrating the flag as a form of freedom of speech or someone vandalizing a flag on another person's front lawn.

I guess I'm waiting for a story where there's some kind of robbery and a random customer manages to sneak behind the robber and choke him into submission with a rolled up flag.

But yeah, is there anything good about owning a flag?

Well, the current Canadian flag angers me whenever I see it because I feel it embodies the shift from "Canada has a culture and traditions" to "Canada is the punchline to an unfunny joke". All the hippie bullshit began around the time of the flag changing.
