It was one of my top 2 RPGs of the 360/PS3 era. Great game.

great game. the dream stories are the best written stories I've ever read in any game, ever.

It's meh. Immortal stories are nice but the actual game plot and characters are incredibly bland and it has sixkeningly long loading. Decently fun combat but very easy, though that's the case for most RPGs anyway.

Probably the best RPG game in the last 10+ year's if you like the first ten final fantasy you'll like it

Yeah. It was pretty fucking great. I honestly thought it was just going to be trashy FF ripoff but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it ended up being, both gameplay and story-wise.

Probably one of my favorite 360 games. Too bad it aint on Steam. Yet.

Horrid shit game. Gameplay sucks. Story really really sucks. Only motivation to keep playing was the fiction.

Nailed it. The main plot dropped the ball multiple times and once it recovered proceeded to find new ways to make it uninteresting. I had fun with it but wouldn't rank it terribly high on an JRPG list.

His drunken entrance before leaving Uhra is one of my favorite scenes of any game

Jansen started out as the goofy comic relief, but he had some nice character development as the game went on. Cooke and Mack had distracting voice actors for anybody who watched Rugrats as a kid. Good characters, though.

Jensen was the one that looked like Jake Gyllenhaal, right? He was okay. No character stood out enough for me to remember hating or liking any of them much. The most memorable thing for me was the fact Phil & Lil were in it.


No wait, actually I think I remember hating Jensen.

I just remember lots of people on the LO board liking him and me thinking wtf why by the end of the game. I also remember everyone hating the prince but I also remember thinking of him as far more sympathetic.

I think the physical appearance of the knight in shining armor (literally) with the personality of a sniveling little shit with less determination and leadership ability than Cooke and Mack helps give credit to his backstory and to make the players feel sympathetic.

Basically, he's "forced" to be a king when he has no ability or desire to do so, other than the fact that he has royal blood.

I felt sympathy for him since he was nice and was trying to do the right thing anyway whereas I remember a lot jerk actions from Jensen. It's been, like, six years since I played it though so it's really foggy at this point since, again, I didn't really enjoy the story of the game that much.


I also wish it had more post game content.

LO is proof that you can make a final fantasy, with one of the lead final fantasy guys, and music by the final fantasy composer, and if it isn't called "Final Fantasy" nobody will give a shit.

my favorite part was on disk 3 when everyone got separated
those were some fun sections

The dream sequences and the music were the only notable things about the game. Most characters were bland, the villain was laughably bad, the actual main story was forgettable, and combat was okay but on the easy side.
