He's asking if people around you are asking you if your SO is of a certain race. Not if you only date a certain race

My friend went in a mini rant about how often he gets asked that question whenever he's seeing someone or is interested in someone. He insists that it's something mainly black people do but I don't%u200B exactly agree. Despite not being black myself, I've gotten the "What race are they" question a couple of times lol.
