That concept was actually kinda clever, in that the abuse of wishes over and over and over again actually has consequence; like some dark energy nonsense that made the black star dragon balls and all the other dragons that the dbz warriors had to face.

An actual consequence for overusing the dragon balls that pretty much solve everything and made death meaningless in db/dbz was a rather nifty idea for dragon ball gt, bad (and more importantly, ugly) as it was.

I liked Baby. DBZ had so much absorption it was nice to have a parasite for a change.

OH yeah Baby, while I never watched the arc, seemed pretty scary. All the warriors are controlled, it was the kind of stuff that would have terrified me as a kid.

Actually the black star dragon balls had nothing to do with the shadow dragons, those were from the normal dragon balls.

I don't think the Black Star Dragon Balls were ever mentioned again after Baby

About Baby, Idunno if I missed something or just don't remember because I haven't watched GT in years is Goku, Pan, and Trunks "defeat" Baby and a piece of him enters Doctor Mu or whatever his name was. The doctor gets on a ship and leaves the planet they were on. At the end we see Baby burst out of the doctor completely rejuvenated along with one of the black star dragon balls. However in the next episode when Goku and the others are leaving the planet, General Rildo attacks and his beaten by Goku who reveals Baby was inside him as well. So you have one Baby on the planet, never seen again, while the other attacks that ship, "infects" the alien kid and uses the dragon ball to lure Goku and the others in.

It's not really that surprising to find plot holes or unresolved story lines in this show as a whole, never mind this arc.

I wanted to mention how Super does fan fiction worse than actual fan fiction.

Like recoloring SSJ, the Multiverse tournament, a lot of characters personalities...

I will admit some of the fights are animated pretty good.

i'm not a fanfiction h8r, but I haven't read any of DB fanfiction other than DBAF. I don't know what you mean to say about DBS with that comment.

there are a lot of times I've found fan fiction better than actual official work.

DBS has Super fanfictiony ideas. Palette swap SSJ forms, Evil Protag, multiple universes, and the comparison to DB Multiverse is obvious. I still think even with that Super is a more enjoyable series with GT. Execution is king.

Blue is fucking stupid. The golden yellow has been iconic for nearly 2 decades and then it get's recolored? What's more is that it's treated the same as super saiyen 3, a huge powerup with a power drain. You'd think the solution to ssj3's drain would be a self sustaining form, but nope.

Yeah, in the manga Blue has a power boost for a short period after you transform into it that doesn't exist in the anime so they take advantage by repeatedly shifting into it when they want to attack.
